Pension Awareness Week 2023

If your business is struggling to encourage your employees to engage with planning for retirement and in particular pensions, then you are not alone. Despite the importance, pension planning is still far from the forefront of most people’s minds.

Pension Awareness Week (11th – 15th September 2023) is designed to help people with information about Workplace Pensions. This includes advice around tracking down lost pension pots and the benefits of consolidation, as well as suggestions for enhanced financial wellbeing and realistic projections for what’s needed for a financially comfortable retirement.

Worryingly, it’s estimated that 77% of savers do not know how much they’ll need in retirement and although the introduction of automatic enrolment in 2012 has been instrumental in improving the retirement prospects for millions of people, more can still be done by employers to help their employees boost their pension income. Simply by increasing contributions by a few percent can make a material difference to annual retirement savings and over time this can add up substantially.

We work with many of our clients to help them understand the adequacy of their Workplace Pensions provision and the impact this has on their employees’ future financial wellbeing. We also take into consideration the benefits of salary exchange and other subtle ways to help your employees engage more fully in their future financial affairs.

Get in touch if you’d like us to help review the adequacy of your Workplace Pension or to help with employee engagement at hello@theinkgroup.co.uk
