Billy is MD of The Ink Group and an experienced employee benefits consultant.
He specialises in providing strategic advice and consultancy to employers looking to deliver highly tailored and engaging reward packages for their employees.
He has considerable experience dealing with employers of all sizes and sectors and is also responsible for Ink’s strategic relationships within the workplace pension, health & wellbeing and employee protection markets.
Billy co-founded The Ink Group with Ruth and prior to this was MD of Oval Financial Services Ltd where he also served as Head of Employee Benefits. Earlier career experience was at Alliance & Leicester and Barclays Capital. He is a member of the Personal Finance Society and the Chartered Insurance Institute and holds the Diploma in Financial Planning qualification.
Ruth is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development, and qualified in Advanced Employment Law through the CIPD in 2010. She holds an MBA from the University of Surrey, with a specialism in the Contract of Employment.
Before setting up her own compliance practice (Black & White HR) in 2009 Ruth was Head of HR at Lane4 Performance Management, an award-winning leadership development consultancy that adapts sports psychology into business. Ruth’s early HR career began at Andersen Consulting, and she subsequently worked for Goldman Sachs, both on the trading floor and within the investment bank.
Ruth is a qualified business coach, and is trained in performance assessment and analysis. As an HR practitioner, she applies the philosophy that it is the businesses that treat their people fairly – openly and consistently – that are the best places to work and, therefore, the most productive.
Angela is an Account Director with responsibility for helping employers manage their workplace pensions, employee benefits and Auto Enrolment requirements.
Angela has a wealth of experience in both the employee benefits market and in key leadership positions in national financial services businesses. This experience will ensure that employers have access to market leading advice and consultancy.
Sarah is a senior HR business leader with over 20 years’ industry experience. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development and holds a Masters in Personnel Management from the University of Surrey. She is also a qualified coach and mentor.
Sarah has worked across various sectors and sizes of business including technology company NDS (part of News Corporation) and global photographic brand Polaroid.
Since relocating from London to the East Midlands in 2005, Sarah has worked within Insurance Broking and Financial Services, firstly with the Oval Group Limited and more recently, Welcome Financial Services.
Sarah is a strong generalist with a background in both practical HR and training. As an in-house practitioner she has gained broad knowledge and skills in supporting businesses looking to create positive and productive employee experiences, particularly in periods of rapid growth and decline.
When Billy set up Ink Employee Benefits and was asked to describe the perfect Account Manager he said “Mina Patel”. Billy and Mina had worked together at Oval, where Mina was a corporate para planner, and Billy was MD. Mina joined Ink in February 2014 and was tasked with leading the project team developing our seamless client account services.
Mina is a financial services graduate and holds Diplomas in financial planning. Since starting her career in the financial services industry in 2001 she has worked for both small family businesses and national employee benefits consultancies, including Towry and Oval. She has a wealth of specialist knowledge and experience, particularly in the areas of workplace benefits and auto enrolment.
Mina is a cornerstone of Ink, and she is keen to share her knowledge and experience with other colleagues so that our clients know that they can always rely on the quality of our support services.
Jean joined Ink in March 2018 as an Employee Benefits Account Manager.
Her role is to work closely with employers to manage their various employee benefit plans and workplace pension schemes on a day to day basis. As an Account Manager Jean regularly interacts with Ink’s Payroll and HR teams, as well as clients own in-house or outsourced partners.
Agnieszka joined Ink’s HR team in March 2016 and looks after the administration of our retained clients. This means looking after the online HR files, absence management, and support with our clients’ day to day needs. Agnieszka leads account management for our Payroll service and is our frontline liaison between our clients and our processors. Agnieszka’s professional path to us includes a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, customer services, and business support in related industries.
Hannah joined The Ink Group in 2013 and after moving departments at the start of 2020, is now part of the Employee Benefits Account Management team. Her role includes looking after the day-to-day management of clients’ employee benefit portfolios and workplace pensions, including completing cyclical processes associated with these.
She is also responsible for Ink’s employee benefits portal, InkPad, setting up benefits platforms for clients to more easily communicate their benefits to employees.
In her spare time, she loves to go running around the local countryside (when she’s not running around after her two children).
Lisa joined The Ink Group in September 2019 and is our Team Administrator.
Lisa’s main focus is on payroll processing and she is also a primary operator on our HR absence line (where our clients’ employees call us to report sickness and unexpected absences) and plays a central role in our HR administration services. In these very distinct functions Lisa is committed to confidentiality and attention to detail.
Prior to joining us Lisa worked in Customer Services and in her spare time she enjoys live music and walking her border collie.

Charlotte is our Marketing Manager and is responsible for marketing to new and existing clients, campaign management and developing close relationships with our suppliers and partners. She also manages our website, social media accounts and CRM database.
